How Many Calories Should I Eat to Lose Weight? One of the most common and confusing questions from women I hear. Find out the easy way to calculate those calories and get those pounds dropping for good.

It’s important to figure out first how many calories you need per day just at rest before you figure out how many calories to lose weight.

Once you figure out your base rate, you then subtract 300 calories per day for weight loss. This is going to vary per person based on how active you are throughout the day.

Dropping 300 calories per weight loss per day is actually not a whole lot. Especially if you are used to eating 5 -6 times per day. For example. If you eat 6 times per day and your base rate is 1800 calories to maintain…..you need to shave off 50 calories per meal to get you that deficit. That’s not a whole lot and you most likely won’t even notice it.

You can track your meals through myfitnesspal app or in a journal and see what you’re currently eating. If you are maintaining your weight already throughout the week, then you know how many calories you are ingesting and that you’ll have to drop your calories to lose weight.

Be sure to measure yourself to track your progress. I recommend to use the scale plus also use a measuring tape.

Some weeks you’ll find that you’ll change in inches but not much on the scale and vice versa. You can also take pictures which is a great way too for that extra motivation to keep going.

DO NOT go under 1200 calories ladies! Time and time again, women think they need to eat under to lose weight…while it may work at first..in the long run you’ll run into a whole host of problems including wrecking your metabolism. Be sure to eat throughout the day and especially don’t skip your breakfast.
