My Top 3 Healthy Condiments For Weight Loss

While trying to lose weight, it’s so important to pay attention to things like liquid calories and the calories in condiments and sauces. In this article, I’ll show you my top 3 Healthy Condiments For Weight Loss that you can use and not feel an ounce of guilt over.

Condiments:

#1 is Yellow Mustard

How I use it. I’ll put it on lettuce wraps, dip chicken, use it with steak. It’s really versatile. You can easily and quickly make a salad dressing out of it as well by adding some vinegar and some stevia to it.

Believe it or not, five of these ingredients have anti-cancer properties: vinegar, mustard, turmeric, paprika and garlic.

Turmeric gives the mustard that yellow color and it great for being anti inflammatory, helps with weight loss and can help lower blood sugars. They call it having an anti-diabetic effect.

Compared to ketchup, mustard is so much healthier that there’s almost no comparison. Popular ketchup products are often made with high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), a liquid sugar linked to diabetes and obesity.

#2 Homemade Salsa With Fresh Tomatoes

I make my own homemade salsa with fresh tomatoes. I use salsa on eggs, in wraps, with steak…you name it.You can even pop it in your homemade chili. Tomatoes are low in calories and mixed with the other ingredients it makes an excellent choice to make your food more flavorful.

Tomatoes are low in calories (1 tomato = 22 calories) and mixed with the other ingredients it makes an excellent choice to make your food more flavorfu but not wreck your waistline.

When you’re buying store bought salsa, be careful of what you buy as many salsas have added sugars to it.

#3 is Franks RedHot Sauce

I don’t find Franks hot sauce that hot which is perfect for me as I prefer to not have my mouth be on fire when I eat. I use the original Franks Red Hot Sauce.I have franks with lettuce wraps, regular wraps, cucumber, chicken….it’s really versatile.

Since it is hot sauce it contains peppers which is what capsaicin comes from which makes the sauce hot. Capsaicin is known to give a litte kick to your weight loss efforts.

Watch out for some of the other flavors of franks because they do have sugar in them and corn syrup wheat etc. It is just a tinge higher on the sodium rating but a little goes a long way
