7 TOP REASONS YOU CAN’T LOSE WEIGHT

You just can’t lose weight and it sucks.You go to the scale and step on it. You look at it…aaaaANd there’s that dreaded number staring up at you.

It hasn’t moved down in what seems like forever and you’ve been wondering wtf.

Here’s 7 Top Answers Why You Can’t to Lose Weight

Reason #1 – Your Head Isn’t In It

Your head’s not in the game – deciding and knowing why you’re wanting to lose weight is absolutely crucial.

Deciding isn’t, ”oh I should probably lose weight and I’ll start Monday”.

Deciding is…heck ya. I’m aiming for x amount of lbs this week. Let’s do this cause I have x y and z planned out to get there.

Knowing Why you want to lose weight is what will keep you going. If you are losing weight cause people think you should …it’s not gonna motivate you to get your ass up out of bed in the morning and be excited to lose it.


Is the reason so you can play with your kids?
Fit into your favorite jeans?
Going on vacation and want to be comfortable in a bathing suit?
Is it so you don’t have to cry anymore each and every day that you look in the mirror.
What is it to you?

Reason #2 – Not Drinking Enough Water

You aren’t drinking enough water – I recently have done a video on this but ladies….UP your water and watch the magic happen. Half of your weight in oz and boom bye bye bloating.

Reason #3 – You are screwing up on your calories and the amount you’re eating.

You’re either not eating enough or eating too much. So check your portions, log it this week in an app on a notepad and be prepared shock yourself at what you’re seeing.

Reason #4 – Eating Processed Food

You eat a lot of unhealthy processed food..you know the chemically processed crap – anything in a box, fast food etc.

Stick to the outer part of the grocery store where the fruits and veggies are and scrap the frozen food and items with a laundry list of ingredients. Tummy aches.

Highly processed foods often contain:

  • Preservatives: Chemicals that prevent the food from rotting.
  • Colorants: Chemicals that are used to give the food a specific color.
  • Flavor: Chemicals that give the food a particular flavor.
  • Texturants: Chemicals that give a particular texture
  • Keep in mind that processed foods can contain dozens of additional chemicals that aren’t even listed on the label.
  • For example, “artificial flavor” is a proprietary blend. Manufacturers don’t have to disclose exactly what it means and it is usually a combination of chemicals.
  • For this reason, if you see “artificial flavor” on an ingredients list, it could mean that there are 10 or more additional chemicals that are blended in to give a specific flavor.
  • Processed foods are extremely low in essential nutrients compared to whole, unprocessed foods.

Real food is the key to good health, processed food is not. Period.”

Reason # 5 – Your Activity Level Is Non Existent or Not a lot.

If you are at the same weight and not losing, you are eating right now to maintain.

IF you’ve checked your calorie levels (which is what you should have done already) and it’s on point..then it’s time to up your game in activity.

Add something this week to burn more calories to make that scale budge.

Reason #6 – You aren’t “eliminating”

 I can’t even tell you how many times I have a chat with someone who is stuck and they can’t figure it out…but when I ask them about their bowel habits …they say “oh I haven’t gone in 4 days”

ummmmmmmmm how many lbs of food have you had in 4 days and you’re wondering why the scale isn’t going down?!?!

Reason #7 – Your sleep succccccccks.

THat’s part and parcel with being a mom, I know…but you gotta get those zzz’s in. Women have a tendency to lack sleep and then gorge on whatever they are craving the next day because a) they are too tired to cook so they make horrible choices or b) end up binge eating on food.

Bonus

As a little bonus tip…try giving up wheat & dairy even for a week and see what happens. You can always switch them out for alternatives if you are freaking out that you don’t know how you’ll survive without cheese and bread.
